Melissa & Cameron 4-30-11

Melissa & Cameron were married on the Terry House lawn.

Natural wooden chairs were provided by Eventures Party Rental for the ceremony. The lovely arbor was created by Tipton Hurst.

A buffet dinner was served to guests after the ceremony. The menu was a Mixed Greens Salad (with dried blueberries, red onion, toasted pine nuts, Parmesan cheese & a fresh herb vinaigrette), Grilled Chicken Breast & Flatiron Steak with a Mushroom & Thyme Reduction, Oven Roasted New Potatoes, Green Beans, French Bread & Butter.

Each guest was given this card to give wedding advice to Melissa & Cameron for a happy marriage.

Hannah & Seth 4-30-11

Hannah & Seth were married at Covenant Presbyterian Church; the reception followed immediately after the ceremony.
This was an afternoon reception and Hannah chose to serve a variety of desserts. Pictured above is assorted truffles and baby chocolate and vanilla cupcakes.

Fresh fruit and cubed cheese were a great accompaniment to the desserts.

UALR "Finale" 4-23-11

UALR honored Dr. B. Alan Jean Sugg
at the sixth annual Finale Gala on Saturday, April 23, in the Jack Stephens Center benefiting the university’s arts programs. Sugg, the president of the University of Arkansas Systems since 1990, will retire on June 30 of this year.
 
Dinner consisted of a three course meal beginning with Herbed Goat Cheese Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes

The Passover option of Thyme Roasted Chicken Breast, Warm Parsley Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus & Matzo Bread.

Dessert was Vanilla Panna Cotta with Fresh Berries

Finale celebrates the arts in Central Arkansas and is the premier fundraising event for UALR’s arts programs. The dinner gala features performances and artwork by students. This year’s performance, “Two Tickets to Broadway,” was a dance revue of popular musicals. Proceeds from the event benefit UALR’s art, music, and theatre arts and dance students and programs.

Presenting sponsor of the 2011 event is Glazer’s Distributors of Arkansas. Premier sponsors include Chip and Cindy Murphy and Simmons First National Bank, and sustaining sponsors are Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Arts organizations from around the region lend their support to Finale each year. This year’s participating arts partners are Accademia dell’Arte, Arkansas Arts Center, Arkansas Festival Ballet, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Tina & Greg 4-17-11

Tina & Greg had an intimate ceremony with friends & family in front of the fireplace at Trapnall Hall. Golden Champagne Punch & Bloody Mary's were passed as guests arrived for the 11am event.

Brunch was served immediately after the ceremony.

Omelets were cooked to order with an assortment of toppings for guests to choose from.
